Candle Care & Safety Tips

1. Trim the wick before each burn. Keep the wick trimmed to 1/4 inch to help prevent soot, smoking, and uneven burning.
2. Let the wax melt across the top. During the first burn, allow the wax to melt fully to the edge of the jar to help prevent tunneling.
3. Avoid drafts. Keep candles away from fans, open windows, and air vents to reduce flickering, smoking, and uneven burning.
4. Use a heat-safe surface. Always place your candle on a stable, heat-safe surface away from furniture edges and flammable materials.
5. Never leave a candle unattended. Extinguish your candle before leaving the room or going to sleep.
6. Keep space around the flame. Maintain at least 12 inches of clearance from curtains, paper, decor, and other flammable objects.
